Regional Public Relations Specialist
About the Role: We are looking for a Regional PR Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and implementing the Ingredient Business Unit PR plan and activities across the Americas region. It’s an exciting time for our business, with significant growth plans in each of our segments -Consumer, Safety and Defense – and this role is pivotal to a variety of public relations activations within this scope. You’ll be part of a highly-skilled, collaborative marketing team which looks forward to working with you to help bring together multi-faceted marketing activations!
This position will be located in our facility in Elkton, Maryland, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.
Pay and Benefits:
- $100,000 - $130,000 per year

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the regional PR Plan, in alignment with the Americas marketing strategy and Global PR Strategy
- Input into the development of the Global PR and Influencer Strategies, as a member of the Global PR Functional Excellence Team
- Collaborate with our Account Marketers to develop and execute PR activations with customers, including developing creative ways to amplify message via PR, influencer marketing and other channels
- Manage the relationship with and activities of our regional PR agency
- Develop and implement a plan to represent our Regional Commercial Team externally
- Provide regional support for our global influencer program
- Manage B2C sponsorships which act as a platform for PR communications
- Help protect and build the reputation of our brands/company through issue management, in collaboration with our Fabrics Communications team
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications or a related field of study AND a minimum of 5 years experience in Public Relations or Communications in the Sporting goods/Outdoor/Snowsports industry
- Proven ability to fully understand business, sustainability, product and marketing strategies to develop appropriate PR strategy and plan
- Value chain & consumer focus: Deep understanding of the defined target audience(s) (B2B & B2C) especially their needs and interests and understanding of the PR landscape to define relevant and effective PR programs
- Strong creative thinking and project management capabilities to develop relevant content and solutions to complex and broad scope PR topics
- Proven track record in creating and delivering exceptional communications externally and internally
- Strong team player: Builds credibility and working relationships globally and regionally
- Excellent influencing skills, ability to integrate across businesses and functions, and professional maturity to judge when to escalate issues appropriately
- Proven track record in achieving results and driving clear priorities
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing varied communications strategies, with a strong understanding of traditional, social and emerging media
- Ability to travel 20%
Desired Qualifications:
- (PR) Agency experience a plus
- B2B experience, and particularly in an ingredient business model, a plus
