About the Role: We are looking for a Global Manufacturing Leader to join our team. The Global Manufacturing Leader is a critical role in the Supply Chain Team and is responsible/accountable to define and execute the manufacturing strategy, which includes network optimization and effective and efficient manufacturing organization structure. 

 

This role will be located at our facility in Newark, Delaware.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Drive Operational excellence, improvements and culture change in the GPS manufacturing organization
  • Understand what “GOOD” looks like and the drive and urgency to define/execute that vision
  • Design metrics based on requirements to immediately “point gaps” in manufacturing execution
  • Drive capital improvements or requirements based on productivity, capacity and compliance goals
  • Communicate directly and effectively with Associates to resolve challenges regardless of their role or difference of opinion

Required Qualifications: 

  • A minimum of 5 years experience managing a global manufacturing organization and a growth trend in responsibility in manufacturing or equivalent in Supply chain
  • Experience setting up production systems and metrics to drive improvements in operational excellence
  • Breadth of leadership experience. Experience leading EH&S and Facilities
  • Strong financial acumen to translate Manufacturing improvements to financials
  • Strong fundamentals in operational execution metrics and tools
  • Strong understanding of what "GOOD" looks like when defining plant/mfg performance. Experience driving capital improvements/requirements based on productivity, capacity or compliance improvements in collaboration with the Engineering Leader
  • Track record of driving manufacturing improvements with well defined KPI’s
  • Track record establishing manufacturing KPI’s to financial performance
  • Actively demonstrates Gore’s guiding principles and fosters an environment of inclusion, authenticity, and humility
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing conditions and a track record of delivering outstanding results in new and tough situations
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into priorities/goals, drive performance and engagement through coaching and feedback, measures outcomes and hold others accountable for results
  • Ability to drive change with sense of urgency and embed operational excellence culture in manufacturing
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
